Here in this screen recording I explain what doctors and endocrinologists may order in terms of labs when someone possibly has a thyroid problem (or if a thyroid disorder is suspected). I also go into some detail about the different kinds of labs that are involved in thyroid function tests. One detail I forgot to mention is that with hypothyroidism, if someone has high TSH but normal T4 and T3, that individual would have subclinical hypothyroidism (few or no symptoms of hypothyroidism) and I did not mention that part in this clip which I apologize in advance.
